Our Services…

Speech & Language Therapy

Articulation therapy focuses on atypical speech sound productions characterized by substitutions, omissions, additions or distortions that may interfere with intelligibility.

Language therapy addresses impaired comprehension and/or expressive language and may include written expression.

Stuttering Therapy

Stuttering therapy utilizes strategies to improve the flow of speech for children and adults.

Childhood Apraxia of Speech

A motor speech disorder that makes it difficult to make accurate movements when speaking. Producing speech is quite difficult for these children.

Early Intervention

Early intervention is most powerful when Kalamazoo Speech Associates team with parents and caregivers to support the child’s learning and communicating in the home environment.

When parents are set up for success, children can communicate about what they find interesting, familiar and important to them. Kalamazoo Speech Associates therapists utilize a variety of strategies to build parent coaching into our sessions with babies and toddlers experiencing communication delays or challenges.

Autism & Social Skills Groups

We work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder individually. Additionally, we offer small age-matched groups focused on improved social interactions regardless of diagnosis.

Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders

OMDs refer to oral rest postures, a reverse swallow pattern, and may affect speech sound production. People are often familiar to the term “tongue thrust.” We address thumb/finger sucking and other detrimental oral habits.
